Time Well Spent

Annie, Alex and I had the pleasure of spending the day with Beth and Isabella Faye last Saturday. Isabella Faye is as cute as ever. She and Alex are still pals despite her hitting him twice in the face. To make things fair, he ate a sucker in front of her and didn't even offer her a lick.

With Annie's help we survived the day with two toddlers. Thank goodness for big girls.

Alex's First Easter Egg Hunt

We had an Easter Egg Hunt at church yesterday. The kids had a great time. Alex had the most fun of all. Afterwards, we went to eat Mexican food with Grandpa and Grandma. Alex told the server he wanted a "taco" very loudly. Lots of laughter came from surrounding tables. When the server brought his food, he yelled, "hot taco!" He gets funnier by the day.

Will got a nice haircut on Friday, complete with gel in the front. He was very proud of it. That night he stayed for dinner at a friend's house. He felt very old that day.

We watched a live webcast of our cousin, Jordyn, run for a track event on Friday in New York City. Annie and Alex could see the pole vaulters in the background. The result was every cushion from the living room furniturebeing thrown on the floor and the slide serving as a jumping ramp.

Vocabulary Words

Here are a few of Alex's favorite words: gunk - gum, bump - bum, willow - yellow, ornch choose - orange juice, I nono - I don't know and bubbooz - bubbles. Any fast food restaurant is "num num" and he yells it every time he sees a sign.

ALEX TURNS TWO

Happy Birthday to our sweet little guy! He's a real two year old now in every aspect. He colors murals on the wall, climbs everything with the aid of a kitchen chair, and yells, "No, Mommy!" all day long. We can't turn our backs for a second. However, he is learning so much and surprises us each day with his new language skills and clever charm.

This Is for KK

Alex got his Easter basket in the mail this week. He's very proud of it and carries it around all day. I turned around yesterday afternoon and he was wearing it on his head.

Visit With the Embrys

On our way home from LA, we met Beth, John and Isabella Faye at a Pizza Hut in Leitchfield, KY. It was a short visit, but so sweet. It was a great way for us to celebrate New Year's Eve.

Happy 2009

I just want to post a few holiday photos. We had a great holiday season. Alex loved Christmas. His favorites were singing Deck the Halls, saying, "Ho, Ho, Ho!" and eating candy canes. He spent alot of time riding on Aunt Bindy's wheelchair. He loved watching A Charlie Brown Christmas over and over.
